Even if: 더라도

V + 더라도 can be used to say ‘even if you V’. The ‘if’ clause can be in the past or present:

Would you eat food that a friend had prepared even if it tasted awful?

Even if she doesn’t want to come you should invite your friend.

Even if it rains we’ll play football outside.

Even if you practice a lot, when you perform on a stage it’s natural to be a little nervous.

Even if you don’t believe me, I’m telling you the truth.
